PPM (Player Performance Mentoring Programme)

Both technical and tactical aspects of tennis are continually trained and developed throughout the week assisting each player’s performance.  Mental skills or the 4th pillar of athletic performance has been introduced more as a competition challenge at present.

In Term 3 Bradfield tennis Centre will begin our PPM (Performance Player Mentoring Programme), each player will receive a monthly group presentation/workshop to develop stronger mental skills.

Content of PPM will cover:

  • Mental Awareness
  • Left side and Right side brain skills
  • Visualisation skills
  • Time management
  • Self-management
  • Accountability
  • Responsibility
  • Reflection / Reflective skills
  • Positive role modelling
  • Behaviour management
  • Peer to peer mentoring

This session is monthly with Players required to ‘Mentally Train’ off court at home, maintain daily routines to help achieve more positive behaviour that improves performance.

Sessions will run one Saturday per month at 13:00 for one hour.  An opportunity to practice on available courts after the session will be made available.
